The Stegmühle – a place full of stories in St. Pankraz, jointly owned by us and six other farming families – has been carefully restored and now shines in new splendor. The historic building is located directly along the mill trail (which can be accessed right from the farm) and offers an idyllic spot to pause in the middle of the forest.
The roof was renewed, a new water wheel was built, and the water supply system was completely redesigned. For this special project, we received the “GE®MEINSAM erhalten” award from the South Tyrolean Farmers’ Youth, along with a funding prize of €10,000. Additional support from the Office for Art and Cultural Monuments, the municipality, and the local tourism association helped make this place what it is today.
The Stegmühle preserves rural traditions and, upon request, allows guests to visit the mill and see it in operation. Visitors can experience firsthand how agriculture and craftsmanship were once closely connected.
As part of the historic mill trail, the Stegmühle stands as a symbol of cultural preservation – a living place that connects past and future.
